My Heart Can Sleepwalk

7/2/09
Mankind can travel many miles to find beautiful things.
One might roam endlessly to nowhere.
Travel to forget dilemmas, to realize memories cling.
Walk till the soles of the shoes become bare.
Worn through to the blisters of the feet.
A soul can scream for mercy, it can ache.
Town to town and on the street.
Sometimes the heart will know which road to take.

Until then, I will dream with smiles.
I will hold my head high.
I will walk my mental miles.
I must use my third eye.

Eat, sleep, and weep.
Laugh, grin, and speak.
Pay your dues, earn your keep.
Walk tall, and nothing is bleak.
